Head/thorax side airbags,
front Two-part full-height side airbags are fitted as standard in the front seats. They are inflated in two stages to match the seat occupant's body movements in a side collision. First the lower section inflates, cushioning the torso and arm, followed by the upper section to help protect the head. |

Saab Anti-theft Protection
alarm Reacts if someone tries to enter the car or break a window. The alarm is remote controlled via buttons in the key. It also includes a ?panic-function? whereby pressing a button triggers the alarm. The large number of rolling codes helps to prevent unauthorised copying of the code. |

Seatbelt pre-tensioners, front
The front seatbelts feature automatic pre-tensioners and load limiters. In the event of a collision, the belt is first tightened, then released slightly to reduce the risk of injuries on the upper body. |
