		Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) The ABS system senses if a wheel is about to lock up and eases the brake pressure on that wheel so it starts rotating again. As a result, the potential stopping distance is minimised while steering ability is retained.

		Bi-xenon headlamps with automatic levelling Bi-xenon headlamps give a broader low beam and better kerbside visibility. For high beam, the bi-xenon lamps are supplemented with halogen lights that give a long and broad throw. 		Head/thorax side airbags, front Two-part full-height side airbags are fitted as standard in the front seats. They are inflated in two stages to match the seat occupant's body movements in a side collision. First the lower section inflates, cushioning the torso and arm, followed by the upper section to help protect the head.

		Immoboliser The advanced immobiliser function makes it virtually impossible to start the car without the right key.

		Saab Anti-theft Protection alarm Reacts if someone tries to enter the car or break a window. The alarm is remote controlled via buttons in the key. It also includes a ?panic-function? whereby pressing a button triggers the alarm. The large number of rolling codes helps to prevent unauthorised copying of the code.

		Seatbelt pre-tensioners, front The front seatbelts feature automatic pre-tensioners and load limiters. In the event of a collision, the belt is first tightened, then released slightly to reduce the risk of injuries on the upper body.
